The generic name for the medication Micronase is Glyburide. It’s used along with a proper diet and exercise in order to help regulate and control blood sugar levels in people who suffer from type 2 diabetes. When you have this condition, your body can’t create or make use of the hormone insulin the way it’s supposed to. Because of this it can’t control the levels of sugar or glucose inside the blood. The drug is a part of a group of medications called sulfonylureas. These help the pancreas to create more of the hormone insulin. Insulin production is able to direct the cells of your body to store excess sugar, and as a result this decreases the amount circulating in the blood.

How do you know if this medication is right for you?
There are all sorts of medications on the market you can use in order to help get your blood sugar levels under control. The reason why one might be better for you than another is because it’s going to work best for your particular situation. This means not only just your type 2 diabetes, but any other problems you might have in association with the condition. For instance, you might be a good candidate to use Micronase, but you might be on another medication that would interfere with it.
The other medication that would interfere with it could be something you’re taking as a result of a complication due to your condition. Even if you feel that using Micronase would be the right choice for you, it’s going to be very important for you to ask the right questions to a doctor and let them know as much of your medical history as possible (this is assuming they don’t already have the information). This is what will help determine if you’re a good match for using this particular medication.
Even though Micronase is very effective at what it does, you shouldn’t get discouraged if you find that you can’t use it for some reason. For instance, you might be allergic to the active ingredients in the drug and as a result it wouldn’t be worth using. There are other medications that can act in a similar way that won’t have the same active ingredient. It’s all going to come down to you knowing what to ask a doctor, getting the right tests done, and being patient enough to weigh all of your options. Micronase is one of the best options out there though.
